Scoobie Santino, real name Ian Newtion, was found with his neck cut in Greenford, west London
He was an amiable, sociable person. His philosophy in life was to see the best in people and it meant he grew a huge network of friends.
It's hard to imagine something so violent happening to Ian who was characterised not just by his love of life but his easy-going nature and his love for music.
Murdered singer Ian Newtion aka Scoobie Santino a music lover and a family man known for his kindness was slashed in the neck and left to die in an underpass with noone by his side, a loving person like Ian should never have been taken from us in this manner.
Ian a delivery driver was a singer and had a hit single Cash Money in the 1990s.
Ian {aged 45} had just finish singing at a party at the Scout Hut in Rockware Avenue, and was making his way home to Fulham when he was taken from us.
I lost touch with him for a few years but he never left my heart, and when we met up again the love i had for this man came rushing back, his smile the sound of is vioce made me have that warm loving feeling i had many years ago, i thought the good ole days were here again, going to clubs like All Nations in Hackney he was a born raver {as many can remember}, morning noon and night spreading his love for life & music where ever he went.
I could go on for ever talking about Scoobie Sanitno{Ian Newtion} My friend. My tears will fall hard like many others will from Sunday 22nd March 2009 and many years to come.
I will miss YOU, RIP My darling Xxx
